Presentation: Cryptocurrencies: Criminal tools or the future of finance and society?
Speaker: Dr. Rasheed Saleuddin, University of Cambridge, Judge Business School
Time: 12:15 to 1:45 p.m. following the business meeting.
Dr. Saleuddin has worked in finance for more than 25 years at the Bank of Montreal and independently and is currently a full-time academic at Cambridge. He has written two books on financial regulation —The Government of Markets and Regulating Securitized Products – and has published on a number of finance-related subjects. He has also consulted on cryptocurrencies, financial technology and corporate government as a research associate in finance and an affiliated researcher at the Cambridge Centre for Endowment Asset Management and the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance. He is currently a consultant for a top cryptocurrency investment portal. Dr. Saleuddin has a PhD in financial history from the University of Cambridge and Masters degrees in economic history, economics, and the law and politics of regulation.
